ARCH Employees provide a service to the special needs community by offering specialized help in sensory-motor, cognitive, communicative, social interaction, community integration, and health awareness.

Service goals are as follows:

• To provide training and supervision for the ARCH participant with the purpose of increasing or maintaining his/her independent living skills, socialization, and adaptive skills that will allow them to reside and participate successfully in his/her own community.

• To develop positive relationships and support for ARCH participants and their families.

• To provide opportunities for participants to interact socially with family, friends, and the community.

It will be the ARCH Employee’s responsibility to promote a healthy and safe environment with continual supervision of the participants at no more than a 4 consumer to 1 staff ratio. Leaders will be asked to conduct programs, assist consumers with their needs, and help participants with their individual goals. Community outings will also be integrated into the curriculum, as well as a variety of recreational activities including sports, arts & crafts, fitness, cooking, etc.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and qualify for a fingerprint clearance background check. A driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience is recommended. Applicants with CPR/First Aid Training, Article XI Training, and a Fingerprint Clearance Card are preferred. (Attaining these certifications is required upon employment).

Hours vary between full-time and part-time positions. Depending on the need, some positions are seasonal. Starting wage is $14.50 dollars per hour for entry level positions.
